Sheffield Shows What It’s Made Of

Last night Jefferson Sheard Architects celebrated a win at the Sheffield Business Awards 2011.

We were shortlisted alongside Stagecoach Group and the South Yorkshire Housing Association for The AMEY Environmental Impact Award. The practice was honoured with this award for demonstrating our commitment and achievements in good environmental practice.

Director of Jefferson Sheard Architects, Tom Rhys Jones, was presented with the award and commented: “It’s great that so many of the projects that have helped us to win this award are actually in this region, demonstrating that not only are we able to deliver the goods in Sheffield but, also, that Sheffield has the type of enlightened clients which are essential to the success of such projects.”

“Once again I’m very proud of what the people who are Jefferson Sheard have achieved and excited at what their skills can lead to in the future.”

Other winners on the night included ESCO Hydra, Sheffield Food Festival Partnership, 3Squared, UK Medical, Kier Sheffield, Tinsley Bridge Group, VOICE Group, Voluntary Action Sheffield and Accelerate Lifestyle.

The event was held at Ponds Forge International Sports Centre and over 1000 people from Sheffield businesses were in attendance.

The Sheffield Business Awards are now firmly established as the city region’s premier showcase of business and enterprise.
