Sustainable Environmental Technologies Centre

Our client, Calderdale College, has commissioned Jefferson Sheard to design a state-of-the-art Sustainable Environmental Technologies Centre (SETC). This new building will incorporate a wide range of sustainable technologies which will be either active or for demonstration purposes.

Due to start on-site later this year, the project will include: a new build construction centre with Electrical and Plumbing Workshops; SETC; Replacement brick workshops, Remodelled Painting & Decorating accommodation; staff accommodation; support accommodation and a replacement Sport England standard football pitch.

The new facilities will enhance the provision already on offer in the award winning 'Inspire Centre', improving Construction and Engineering facilities and addressing the "green" agenda.

The SETC is designed to deliver a high quality, interesting and dynamic building as the culmination of a series of interconnected pavilions. This will add further value to the existing street scene while emphasising the presence of the College to Local and Business Communities, Students and Stakeholders.
