Requirement
Our client, Ashford Primary Care Trust required a high specification health centre with a distinctive design so that both the centre and the youth club would represent a significant exemplary local landmark to serve as a catalyst for the regeneration of the surrounding area.
Our solution
- The centre provides permanent accommodation for 8 GPs and 16 other healthcare professionals, as well as a pharmacy and youth centre.
- The informal design and use of materials welcomes visitors, especially those to the youth centre, with a warm, accessible and inviting style.
- A central atrium allows natural light to filter into the public waiting areas of the building providing high levels of comfort and space to the occupants.
