Requirement:  

Our client wanted to relocate two existing healthcare practices within Ossett, the Church Street5 Group Surgery and the Prospect Road Surgery. They also required community services to be provided.

Our solution:

• The new centre allows for the three separate facilities to be combined in one development whilst still retaining their individual identities.
• The surgeries are inked together by a common internal street which provides access to the general public during the day.
• The provision of new community services by the Wakefield District Primary Care Trust and a limited range of secondary care services have all been located in the same Health Care Centre.
• A brand new on site pharmacy was included within the heathcare centre.
• The remaining area of the site is for a proposed residential development comprising 28 two bedroom flats, 1 lifetime dwelling and 1 social rent dwelling.
